Restaurant India News: ‘Nomme’ India’s First Coffee Theatre Opens in Hyderabad

Nomme, a newest cultural dining destination has opens door in Hyderabad. This is India’s very first Coffee Theatre. Founded by Imtiaz Ali Siddiqui, who has brought Hyderabad a series of firsts — from Telangana’s pioneering Lebanese QSR, Seasons XPRS, to India’s first authentic baklava brand, Gourmet Baklava, and the country’s first Levantine fine-dining destination, Levant.

With Nomme, his 12th and most ambitious venture yet, Imtiaz is creating more than just a restaurant — he’s shaping a cultural stage where food, coffee, and creativity come together in harmony.

“Coffee is part of our everyday lives,” Imtiaz says. “But we wanted to take something familiar and make it unforgettable. The Coffee Theatre is playful, dramatic, and it makes people connect — not just with the drink, but with each other.”

At Nomme, food and coffee share equal stage. At its core, it’s a Mediterranean story told through global voices, brought to life by two chefs who blend heritage with artistry Chef Fatih (Cyprus), a master of Mediterranean desserts and pastry finesse and Chef Hisham (Lebanon), a bearer of authentic Levantine flavors and traditions.

The menu unfolds like a journey across coasts and cultures. Mezze spreads arrive fresh and vibrant, with hummus, baba ganoush, and muhammara ready to be paired with warm bread. Wood-fired grills lend a smoky kiss to lamb chops and charred octopus, while braised lamb and roasted fish evoke the warmth of tradition. Elegant desserts like millefeuille with crisp layers, buttery baklava, and citrus-bright tarts showcase Chef Fatih’s celebrated craftsmanship.

Imtiaz puts it simply: “Nomme is about energy. It’s about creating moments that feel alive — whether that’s watching beans fly through pipes, breaking bread with friends, or discovering flavours you didn’t expect. It’s a place to belong.”

With its Coffee Theatre, Nomme sets a benchmark that no Indian restaurant has attempted before. But more than the spectacle, it’s the idea of turning the everyday into something memorable that makes it stand out.
