29 – Twenty Nine, a new entrant into Mumbai’s culinary souk, opens first outlet at Kemps Corner today.

The restaurant is presenting delectable cuisines spanning the 29 kingly states of India, by serving authentic vegetarian food takes the customers’ on a walk down India’s culinary memory lane, celebrating India’s regional heritage.

Owned by Nishek Jain, an engineer-turned-restaurateur, who wanted to introduce to our maximum city an eatery with ‘equal heart and honestly as India’s local home kitchens (read ghar ka khana)’, has travelled the lengths and breadth of India to introduce and shortlist the menu for his maiden entrepreneurial hospitality venture.

“While we Indians have been in pursuit of global cuisine in the recent years, with ‘29’, we wish to bring secret regional recipes from within the local kitchens of all 29 princely states of our country. Hence, along with most regional favorites, we shall be offering regional-specials from time to time to enhance the culinary experience of our patrons,” shared Jain.

Another unique offer is the two-for-four-appetizer platter that allows you to sample any four appetizers from any four states for the price of two! Now Andhra Pradesh can meet Delhi at the same table and for a price that is truly worth celebrating at this 80+ cover restaurant that is at the heart of South Mumbai’s vegetarian haven.

The group is also planning to expand 29 to other parts of the city and then travel pan India with this concept.
