It's the vibes that make the diners leave or stay at any restaurant. The newly-launched restaurant The Market Place in Kirti Nagar, Delhi, goes very much along the positive vibes, with respect to the food and the concept.
The Concept - 11 Food Stations Within the Restaurant
The restaurant has been designed in such a way that it creates a statement with its busy-hustling vibe and unconventional graphics. This place provides the buzz of an actual Market Place!
The Market Place restaurant could be a great option for dining out with family or friends, especially if you are located at Kirti Nagar in Delhi. The restaurant takes you to an exciting journey with its chirpy vibe and extremely appetizing food options, making it irresistible to try all the cuisines being offered! This concept was self-built by the founder of the restaurant, Shivam Sehgal.
Speaking about the unique concept of the restaurant, Shivam told Restaurant India, “We narrowed down the concept to a buffet restaurant. We wanted to go ahead with a concept which was not in the market yet. Therefore, we thought of putting up a food court which would house several mini restaurants, with live kitchens, serving cuisines from around the world. It picked up among the Delhiites instantly! The diners love everything inside The Market Place. We are catering to anyone and everyone, with the variety of cuisines on our menu.”
The Menu - Serving More than 100 Dishes at One Place
The Market Place is serving cuisines from around the world, all under one roof. From the Chaat of Delhi 6 to the Pasta of Rome’s streets, from the Curries of North India to the Burgers of America, from the Best of Beijing’s Chinese to Lebanese Shawarmas, from the Steamy Momos in Nepal to chilling Cocktails, they have it all, and more, with their own twists and twirls. There are 11 food stations within the restaurant, with 11 live kitchens, and 100+ cuisines. The menu design was done by the team of Secret Ingredients.
The Location - Kirti Nagar in Delhi
“This area is the pilot project for us. We wanted to see how much potential this project has. We wanted our concept to work, be it anywhere. We won on the concept and food. We are now confident about it. It’s all about the food and concept,” told Shivam Sehgal to Restaurant India.
Since its launch in December 2018, the restaurant has been seeing the footfall of more than 5,000 people per month. It buzzes with 90% repeat customers, confirmed Shivam Sehgal, the founder of The Market Place.
The Marketing Strategy
The Market Place has adopted an aggressive marketing strategy. “We are reaching out to the customers through various outdoor advertisements like banners and hoardings. We are also focusing on launch announcements with different radio channels across Delhi-NCR, such as 91.1 FM, 104 FM. Along with this, we are reaching out to the media, top bloggers and influencers of the capital through the PR and social media channels,” said Shivam.
Restaurant India Review
The various corners of the restaurant are something that makes the concept standout from the rest. There are swings, where one can sit and dine – a favourite among the kids – and then there are the casual dining setups. The food served is good, especially the melt-in-mouth fish tikkas, juicy chicken tikkas and the dim sums from the pan-Asian food counter. As the founder Shivam Sehgal himself affirms, there is something for everyone visiting the restaurant, it is truly visible! There is a dessert bar which serves a range of desserts from sugar-free barfi to people’s favourite gulab jamuns, from cakes to macaron-style rasmalai. The Utsav food station is unique in itself as the menu of the bar changes with the month and the season. Since it’s winters, right now, the sarson ka saag is being served, while in February the menu of Utsav food station will be in-line with the Valentines’ celebration.
