Mumbai’s Toast and Tonic BKC has announced it will permanently close operations this June, concluding its run as a dining destination known for its signature food and cocktail offerings. Ahead of the closure, the restaurant has launched a limited-time event titled The Last Hurrah—a two-month farewell featuring a curated “Hall of Fame Menu” starting April 24, 2025.
The farewell initiative brings back several of Toast and Tonic’s most recognized dishes and cocktails. The menu features returning items that have been central to the restaurant’s identity, offering guests a final opportunity to revisit longstanding favorites.
A.D. Singh of Toast and Tonic said, "This isn't about closing a door—it's about celebrating everything we've shared. The Hall of Fame Menu brings back the classics that our guests have cherished over the years, the dishes they've celebrated milestones with, the cocktails that have become part of their stories. While we are closing our doors to make space for something new, we're not going quietly! Here's to The Last Hurrah!"
The featured dishes include the Mixed Mushroom and Burrata Flatbread with green mustard spread and tomato gojju, and Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe, a long-standing menu staple. Small plates such as Bajra and Ricotta Gnudi served with creamed amaranth and spinach velouté, and the beer-battered Avocado Taco with chipotle salsa are also being reintroduced. The menu concludes with a final appearance of the signature dessert, Nolen Gur T&T Tres Leches.
Cocktails from the restaurant’s notable gin selection are also returning. Offerings include The Herbalist with coriander-orange ice, the British Raj with pomegranate and cinnamon infusions, and Diablo featuring a bird's eye chilli tonic—cocktails that have contributed to the venue’s reputation within Mumbai’s gin bar scene.
Chef Dhruv Oberoi said, "These aren't just recipes to us—they're memories we've created together with our guests. Each dish tells a chapter of our story, and we're excited to share them one final time."
The restaurant is encouraging both regular patrons and new visitors to participate in the final celebration, with reservations recommended due to anticipated high demand during the closing weeks.
