JW Marriott Pune’s specialty vegetarian restaurant Shakahari unveils its latest South Indian fare. The new menu will showcase a lavish spread based on authentic and popular favorites from South India. Curated by Maharaj Jai Kishen, this menu will have guests enjoy carefully handcrafted dishes infused with flavours from South India.

Shakahari’s new menu offers a variety of handpicked, fresh ingredients that showcase age-old recipes and bring out diverse flavors right from fresh coconut to the tangy taste of tamarind. Guests will be served a plethora of flavours from the southern belt of India, ranging from coconut based Avial to the traditional Paruppu Curry and the scrumptious Malabar Paratha. A sweet treat awaits at the Mishthan Bhandar, where guests will relish the delectable Payasam.

Also, the silver thali at Shakahari will continue to serve the guests their favourite Rajasthani menu offering a delightful selection put together by Maharaj Jai Kishen’s team. The menu comprises of dishes such as Ker Sangri keKofte, Subz Panchmel and Dal Batti Churma that will surely entice guests to return to this culinary journey.

JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru has appointed Kanish Kaul as its new Food and Beverage Manager. With more than ten years of experience across key hospitality brands, Kaul will oversee the hotel’s food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bar, banquets, and in-room dining.

Kaul began his career in the hospitality industry in 2012 and has held leadership positions in major cities such as Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi. Before joining JW Marriott Bengaluru, he was the Assistant Director of Events at The Ritz-Carlton, Pune. His background spans specialty dining, banquet services, and restaurant operations, with a focus on improving financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development.

In his new role, Kaul is expected to focus on operational efficiency, guest engagement, and revenue generation through strategic innovation in service delivery.

JW Marriott Bengaluru has introduced Akbari Gate at its JW Kitchen, a limited-period culinary showcase inspired by the royal kitchens of Awadh. The concept draws from Lucknow’s historic Akbari Darwaza, once the symbolic entrance to imperial feasts, and reinterprets classic dishes once served in the courts of nawabs.

Curated by Chef Abdul Haleem, who comes from a lineage of traditional Awadhi chefs, the menu features preparations that focus on traditional methods and historic recipes. A highlight of the offering is the Dora Kebab, a dish known for its texture and technique, considered a signature of Awadhi culinary craftsmanship.

The menu includes a variety of appetizers such as Heeng Muttur Ke Asharfi, Kabuli Kaju Shammi, Murgh Tikka Murshid, and Keeme ke Tikiya, which are designed to reflect traditional Awadhi flavors. Main course selections include Paneer Aish-e-Anaar, Gosht Rezaala, Shaljam Zafrani, and Dal Teen Ratan, focusing on slow-cooked richness and layered flavor profiles.

Live food counters offer dishes like Raan ke Moti, Surkh Tawa Barrah, and Tilnaaz Machli, which aim to replicate the sensory experience of local Awadhi street food. Biryani options include Kathal Biryani and Bataanjan Alubukhara Biryani, known for their use of seasonal ingredients and fragrant spices.

The dessert selection is anchored by Sheer Khurma, a traditional milk-based sweet associated with festive occasions like Eid, served to align with the heritage theme of the dining experience.

Akbari Gate is a culinary tribute that reconnects today’s diners with the heritage of Awadh through recipes that have been preserved over generations,” said Chef Abdul Haleem.

In line with a directive from concerned authorities and their ongoing efforts to safeguard public health, JW Marriott Chandigarh is now offering signature delicacies from its award winning restaurants - The Cafe@JW, Saffron, Oregano, 35 Brewhouse and Chandigarh Baking Company via its new initiative called “Marriott on Wheels by JW Marriott Chandigarh”, which serves the best of world cuisine in the comfort of customers’ home.

Hearty Indian meals, fresh bakes and desserts, delectable Pan Asian or fancy Western cuisine - the MasterChefs of JW Marriott Chandigarh have curated a special menu consisting of the signature dishes, most suited for safe consumption and secure deliveries.

“JW Marriott Chandigarh shares a strong commitment towards delivering a responsible guest experience, ensuring absolute safety from preparation to delivery of each order. We have, therefore, tied up with food aggregator’s such as Swiggy and Zomato to serve the patrons as per their need, creating new experiences that are meaningful, valuable and convenient for the customers,” said Ramandeep Marwah, General Manager, JW Marriott Chandigarh that is practicing ‘zero touch’ during food preparation to ensuring an elegant and secure double packaging of the food.

Every dish that goes out contains a slip duly mentioning the name of the chef who has prepared the dish along with his and the packers’ body temperature and the temperature of the food at the time of packing. The food is freshly prepared and consumers are encouraged to consume it within two hours. The orders are safely packed and customers instructed to dispose the containers and exterior bag. Further, to ensure a contact-less payment, the customers simply need to scan a QR code to pay direct via payment getaways.

He started his career as an F&B attendant at Sahara Star Mumbai and then onto The Westin Garden City Mumbai, where he worked his way up to Assistant Restaurant Manager.

A career defining move to Grand Hyatt, Mumbai with hands on experience in handling Specialty Italian & Chinese restaurant, nightclub and banquets opened multiple avenues.
