Scandalous Foods Partners with Zepto Café to Expand Mithai Accessibility

Scandalous Foods, a B2B player in the Indian sweets segment, has partnered with Zepto Café to enhance the availability of traditional mithais in the restaurant and catering industry. Through this collaboration, customers can order desserts like Ras Malai, Shahi Tukda, and Moong Dal Halwa, with deliveries reaching them in 10 minutes, either hot or chilled as required.

Scandalous Foods aims to integrate mithais into everyday dining, whether consumed in restaurants or ordered online. The partnership aligns with Zepto Café’s focus on fast service, adding a curated selection of traditional sweets to its menu, which already includes over 232 products.

Sanket S., Co-Founder of Scandalous Foods said, "Mithais have always been a staple of Indian celebrations and everyday indulgence, and with Zepto Café, we are ensuring they reach customers at the right moment—fresh, fast, and irresistible. By leveraging Zepto’s robust distribution network, we are not only expanding the accessibility of mithais but also gaining valuable insights into consumer impulse buying trends across different regions."

Under this collaboration, the mithais will be sold exclusively under the Zepto Café brand without co-branding. Additionally, Zepto plans to introduce periodic discounts to encourage customer trials and engagement.

The partnership will initially launch in metro cities, including Mumbai, Bangalore, NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune, with Kolkata set to follow. As demand for high-quality Indian sweets grows, Scandalous Foods expects increased sales through Zepto’s network, reinforcing its goal of making mithais a staple in the hospitality and retail sector.
