The Flamboyant Brings a New Dining and Entertainment Experience to Kolkata

The Flamboyant, a 10,500 sq. ft. lounge that opened in October, is redefining the dining and entertainment scene in Kolkata. Owned by mother-son duo Keya Biswas and Sayak Biswas, the venue offers a blend of culinary expertise and a thoughtfully curated ambiance. With its retail hospitality appeal and focus on immersive experiences, The Flamboyant has quickly gained attention in India’s dining sector.  

The lounge features a sophisticated interior with ambient lighting, plush seating, and contemporary chandeliers. Traditional design elements meet modern aesthetics, with the dynamic colors of the bar and mezzanine seating enhancing the overall experience. This combination of style and comfort has positioned The Flamboyant as a sought-after destination for Kolkata’s discerning diners.  

The menu highlights international bar cuisine, divided into Asian Delights and Western Wonders, prepared with artisanal ingredients sourced from their places of origin. Guests can enjoy vegetarian options such as "Cigare Boregi a la Kolkata", a cheese-and-herb-filled pastry paired with a Naga chili cigar and spicy tomato dip; "Beetroot Shikampuri Kebab", with a pistachio crust; and "Creamy Goat Cheese Canapé" topped with tzatziki and microgreens. Non-vegetarian selections include "Californian Roll", featuring tobiko, crab meat, and avocado; "Lemongrass Murgh Tikka", marinated in cheese and beetroot; and "Chicken Charcoal Dumpling", served with XO sauce. Thin-crust pizzas like the "Veg Greek Arugula Pesto" and "Non-Veg Habibi Pizza" round out the offerings.  

Beverage options include signature cocktails such as "Russian Fizzy Melon" and "Flame Boy", as well as mocktails like "Gondhoraj Lemon Mojito" and "Thai Ginger Lemonade", complementing the menu’s diverse flavors.
