Sterling Holiday Resorts Launches Leopard Haven Jawai in Rajasthan

Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited (SHRL) has opened Sterling Leopard Haven Jawai near Bera in Rajasthan, expanding its presence in the state and adding to its wilderness-focused hospitality portfolio. The resort is located in Jawai, a wildlife destination known for its rocky terrain, leopard habitats and proximity to Jawai Dam.

The property features 19 cottages, suites and villas, including Jawai Villas with private balconies and bathtubs, Pool Villas with plunge pools, and a Two-Bedroom Pool Villa for groups. Facilities include an infinity pool, a children’s play area and outdoor spaces.

The resort’s food and beverage offering centres on regional cuisine at Jawai Vista. The menu includes Methi Bajra Khichda, Panchkutte ki Subzi, Mathania Chicken and Jawai Laal Maas, alongside other chef-curated dishes. Depending on conditions, guests can also opt for outdoor breakfasts, safari picnics and locally inspired meals.

Activities include guided leopard safaris, excursions around Jawai Dam, birdwatching, crocodile spotting and visits to the surrounding countryside and communities. The offering combines wildlife experiences with opportunities to explore local culture and food traditions.

Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director and CEO of Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited, said, “Jawai is compelling because the reason you arrive and the reason you remember the holiday can be very different. A leopard may create the first pull, but the real richness comes from everything that surrounds that experience. For Sterling, this is exactly the kind of destination that strengthens the portfolio in more than one way. It deepens our presence in Rajasthan, adds further weight to our national wilderness offering and also creates a natural link in an Mount Abu-Udaipur–Jawai–Jodhpur journey. Our growth is increasingly about building more around why people travel — creating richer reasons to stay, explore and discover more of India.”

Manish Gurani, owner of BMMR Hospitality LLP, said, “What drew us to Jawai was its rarity — a place where wildlife, open landscapes and everyday life exist side by side without the destination feeling over-engineered for tourism. We wanted the resort to preserve that sense of space and discovery while giving travellers the comfort to stay longer and see more of the region. Sterling was the right partner because it understands how to build demand around destinations, not just properties, and has the reach to introduce Jawai to a much wider leisure audience.”

The opening supports Sterling’s strategy of developing properties around specific travel interests and connecting destinations into regional circuits. Jawai adds a wildlife-focused stop between Udaipur and Jodhpur, complementing Rajasthan’s heritage and city-based tourism offerings.
