Restaurant India News: Ministry of Naan Opens New Outlet in Bandra’s Pali Hill

Ministry of Naan has expanded its footprint in Mumbai with the launch of a new outlet in Pali Hill, Bandra. Founded by hospitality entrepreneur Ayush Sahani, the restaurant marks the latest addition to his growing hospitality portfolio, which includes ventures such as Saltt at Oleander Farms, Karjat, The Plate Karjat and Common House.

The new outlet has been developed around a focused North Indian menu that emphasizes traditional cooking techniques, ingredient sourcing and consistency in execution. According to the company, spices are sourced from local APMC markets and ground in-house, while breads are prepared fresh to order, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on culinary process and product quality.

Located in one of Mumbai’s key dining districts, the Bandra outlet operates as an intimate 10-seater format catering to both dine-in and takeaway customers. The restaurant will remain open until 1:30 am, targeting demand for late-night dining options in the neighbourhood.

Freshly baked breads form the core of the menu, supported by offerings from the restaurant’s Tandoor and Chulha sections. The food programme focuses on traditional North Indian cooking methods and regional flavours, positioning the brand within the growing market for specialised Indian cuisine concepts.

The Bandra launch is also part of a broader growth strategy for the company. Following its entry into Mumbai’s western suburbs, Ministry of Naan is planning further expansion across Andheri West, South Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, while also exploring opportunities in Pune, Bengaluru and Delhi.

The move reflects an ongoing trend within India's foodservice industry, where focused cuisine-led formats and compact restaurant models are increasingly being adopted by operators looking to scale efficiently across multiple urban markets. For Ministry of Naan, the Bandra outlet serves as a strategic step in building a larger multi-city presence while maintaining a specialised North Indian dining proposition.
