Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of more than 30 brands, has officially entered the Mumbai market with the opening of Le Méridien Navi Mumbai. The property brings a contemporary version of the brand to the city, positioned for travellers who appreciate design-led spaces and a calm, structured environment. Located in an area undergoing rapid development, the hotel is designed to offer accessible hospitality with wide views and an emphasis on relaxed stays.
The hotel is one of the tallest in Navi Mumbai and reflects global brand standards while incorporating the coastal and cultural character of the region. With close proximity to business districts and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, about 12 kilometres away, the property aims to serve business and leisure travellers seeking convenience and a structured, modern stay experience.
Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International, said, “Navi Mumbai is on the cusp of tremendous growth, especially with the new airport nearing completion and opening the city to even greater opportunity. At Marriott International, we’re expanding at a strong pace in India, and it’s encouraging to see our pipeline progressing exactly as planned. Mumbai and the wider metropolitan region have always been a key area for us and the debut of Le Méridien brand in Mumbai with the opening of Le Méridien Navi Mumbai marks an important milestone.”
The property includes 129 rooms and suites shaped by mid-century modern influences, using a restrained design palette and wide city views. An art installation in the lobby, built in wire mesh and canvas, highlights figures and framed elements inspired by local culture. Wellness offerings include Tattva Spa, a fitness centre and an outdoor pool with views of the hills.
Dining options at the hotel include Hill View Café, which serves global dishes with views of the Parsik Hills, and Mizuki, a modern Asian restaurant on the top floor. The lobby houses Tasse et Café, which follows a European-style coffeehouse format. The hotel also features the Le Scoop programme offering handcrafted frozen desserts.
The property encourages exploration of nearby natural and cultural locations such as the Flamingo Sanctuary, the Parsik Hills and the Dhamma Vipula Buddhist Pagoda. The Le Méridien Family Kids Club provides activities centred on creativity and destination-inspired engagement. Seasonal programmes and the La Vie initiative extend the brand’s focus on everyday experiences.
Offering more than 20,000 square feet of event space, the hotel includes three banqueting areas, with one of the largest outdoor venues in Navi Mumbai. These spaces are planned for conferences, board meetings, weddings and social events.
Saurabh Chowdhury, General Manager, Le Méridien Navi Mumbai, said, “Le Méridien Navi Mumbai is an invitation to experience this dynamic city through a new lens. Anchored in the brand’s spirit of savouring the good life, we bring together thoughtfully designed spaces, curated culinary journeys and immersive programmes that celebrate Navi Mumbai’s distinctive character, while our commitment to the community ensures every stay feels connected to the destination, its people and its culture.”
