Restaurant India News: OTB Khan Market Reopens After Major Overhaul, Unveils New Identity and Upgraded Dining Experience

Out of the Box (OTB), the long-standing dining and social destination in Khan Market, has reopened after a significant redesign, marking its fifth major overhaul in 12 years. Known for shaping Delhi’s casual dining and nightlife culture, the brand has introduced a new identity, updated interiors, and a refreshed menu that blends contemporary execution with globally inspired comfort food.

The redesign replaces the earlier yellow and red theme with a brown and gold palette, signalling a shift toward a more premium look. Despite the upgrade, the space maintains the familiar, easygoing environment that has defined OTB’s appeal. The multi-level layout has been built to accommodate varied guest needs, from quieter corners to high-energy sections suited for larger groups. Indoor seating, outdoor spaces, and greenery-led zones have all been reworked to reflect OTB’s ongoing focus on creating environments suited for casual meals, social gatherings, and weekend visits.

Udit Bagga, Co-founder, Out of the Box (OTB), said, “OTB has always been about bringing people together over great food and memorable experiences. This relaunch is our way of elevating that connection while staying true to the spirit that made OTB a part of Delhi’s cultural fabric.”

Udit Bhasin, Co-founder, Out of the Box (OTB), added, “From our very first rooftop in Hauz Khas to today’s transformed Khan Market space, OTB has always stood for moments—whether it’s laughter with friends, a quiet date, or a milestone celebration. This new chapter honours that legacy while embracing innovation in taste and design.”

Chef Akshay Malhotra, who brings ITC training and experience, now leads the culinary direction. The updated menu includes items such as OTB Malai Broccoli, Nested Lotus Kabab, Hang Curd Filo Pastry, Ghee Roast Chicken, Shikampuri Kabab, Zaatar Chicken, Chicken ‘n’ Pepper Skewer, Truffled Edamame Crystal, and Burnt Cheesecake. Malhotra said, “Our goal was to craft dishes that surprise and delight, balancing flavour, creativity, and comfort. Every plate is a reflection of global inspiration, executed with precision, yet always approachable for our diverse guests.”

The renewed beverage programme includes new cocktails such as Rose Whisper, Mango Picante, Indigo Bloom G&T, and Pine & Red, along with mocktails including Ruby Reverie and Royal Rose. Specialty coffee additions like Pistachio Latte, Golden Cappuccino, and Thai Coconut Coffee aim to strengthen OTB’s all-day appeal.

Operational upgrades include expanded kitchens, pizza ovens calibrated to 509°F, and dedicated zones for DJs, screenings, and private gatherings. With these changes, OTB Khan Market positions itself to continue serving as a key player in Delhi’s casual fine dining category while adapting to contemporary consumer expectations.

For long-time patrons as well as first-time visitors, the relaunch is designed to offer a mix of familiarity and new experiences, reinforcing OTB’s role in the city’s evolving dining landscape.
