Laguna by TGS has entered Mumbai’s hospitality market with a new café-bar concept in Santacruz. The outlet has been developed as a day-to-night format, combining coffee-led daytime operations with a cocktail-focused evening business model.
Founded by Dhruvin Busa, Harsh Malkani, Rashmi Mishra, and Rinka Jha, Laguna by TGS is positioned around Latin American culinary influences and curated programming. The concept aims to cater to urban consumers looking for combined dining, social, and nightlife experiences within a single venue.
The food offering is structured as an all-day menu drawing from different regions across the American continent. The selection includes items such as Chip & Dip platters, Green Goddess Vegan Bowl, Nine Mile Bowl, All Star Dog, Spinach Enchiladas, and Creamy Picante Penne Pasta. Additional offerings include Tofu Pizza, Greek Pizza, and Palmito Fresco. The dessert range features Matcha Pannacotta and Burnt Honey & Vanilla Cheesecake. The beverage program is designed around cocktails, with a focus on tequila-based combinations and artisanal drink formats.
The space has been developed by Headlight Designs, led by Rohit Sharma and Siddhartha Srivastava. The layout is structured to support different dayparts, transitioning from a casual daytime setting to a more focused dining environment and later into a bar-led nightlife space. The use of earthy tones, layered lighting, and varied seating formats supports operational flexibility and extended guest engagement across time slots.
Industry-wise, Laguna by TGS reflects a broader shift in Mumbai’s hospitality sector towards experiential formats that integrate food, beverage, design, and programming. The concept also aligns with rising demand for venues that combine work-friendly daytime environments with social nightlife options, particularly in high-density urban neighbourhoods like Santacruz.
Positioned beyond a conventional restaurant format, the outlet is targeting a consumer base that includes working professionals and socially active urban audiences. The business model incorporates not just food and beverage sales but also programming across music, art, and community engagement to drive repeat footfall.
The operators state that the concept is designed to offer a mix of menu innovation and beverage-led positioning within a single location. With offerings such as deep dish pizza, jambalaya, and tequila-led pairings, Laguna by TGS is structured to differentiate itself within Mumbai’s competitive dining and bar segment.
The launch highlights continued expansion in Mumbai’s F&B sector, where operators are increasingly focusing on multi-functional formats to maximise utilisation across the day while addressing varied consumer preferences.
