Pebble Street Hospitality has expanded its footprint in Mumbai with the launch of a new outlet of its Asian dining brand, KOKO, at International Business Park, Oberoi Garden City in Goregaon. This marks the brand’s second location in Mumbai and its fourth restaurant in India, reflecting continued expansion in the premium dining segment.
The new outlet spans 5,500 sq ft and has a seating capacity of 116 covers. It is positioned to cater to a mix of office professionals, local residents, and urban consumers in the western suburbs. The format is designed as a multi-zone space that operates across day and evening dining cycles, aligning with industry trends focused on maximising utilisation through flexible formats.
The layout includes distinct zones with varied lighting, scale, and seating configurations. Design elements such as mouldings, lighting installations, and large-format glazing are combined with artwork and origami-inspired fixtures. A curved wall has been developed as a dedicated cocktail lounge area, which can also function independently for private events without affecting the main dining operations. Interiors incorporate Asian-inspired materials and motifs adapted for a contemporary urban setting.
The menu is led by Chef Eric Sifu and the brand’s culinary team, focusing on Cantonese and Japanese cuisine. The offering includes signature items such as KOKO Signature Roll, Hamachi Maki, Lobster & Caviar Dumpling, Crispy Pork Belly, and Peking Duck with Pancakes. The vegetarian menu features options like KOKO Golden Maki, Wild Morel & Truffle Dumpling, Gonjon’s Turnip Cake with Garlic, Edamame Truffle Money Bag, South East Asian Red Curry, and Edamame Black Rice with Burnt Garlic.
In line with evolving consumer preferences in India, the restaurant also offers a dedicated Jain menu, prepared without onion, garlic, or root vegetables. The selection includes KOKO Signature Carpaccio (Tender Coconut), Spicy Poached Dumpling, Broccoli Creamy Planta with Bird’s Eye Chilli, Silken Tofu with Chilli Black Bean, Hong Kong Soy Noodles, and Hazelnut Crunch Fingers.
The beverage program includes cocktails such as Kandy Floss, Bombyx Mori, Agave Nest, and Tom Yum Cup. The offering is supported by a curated sake selection, including Mikadomatsu Junmai Ginjo and Hakushika Tokubetsu Yamadanishiki Honjozo, indicating a focus on premium beverage pairings alongside the food menu.
Ryan Tham and Keenan Tham, Founders of Pebble Street Hospitality, said in a joint statement, “KOKO Goregaon captures the western suburbs' vibrant momentum. Nestled in prestigious Oberoi Garden City, we've created a refined haven for office professionals, corporate honchos powering through lunches, luxury residents enjoying after-work cocktails, and suburban families savoring memorable dinners amid Goregaon's corporate-residential surge. Every element from cuisine craftsmanship to design details reflects our commitment to elevated, immersive guest experiences”.
The launch reflects ongoing growth in Mumbai’s premium dining segment, particularly in suburban business districts where mixed-use developments are driving demand. The expansion of KOKO into Goregaon aligns with the increasing shift of high-spending consumers and corporate traffic towards western suburbs, supported by commercial hubs such as Oberoi Garden City.
The opening also indicates a broader trend of hospitality operators investing in experience-led formats, combining design, menu innovation, and flexible event capabilities to drive footfall and repeat visits.
