Restaurant India News: Gram Street Opens in Gurugram With Compact Specialty Café Format

Gram Street, the latest venture by Vanshika Bhatia, has opened in DLF Phase 1, Gurugram, introducing a compact café model focused on specialty coffee, matcha, and gelato-based offerings. The launch comes at a time when urban café formats are increasingly shifting towards smaller, experience-driven concepts with tighter menus and stronger product positioning, moving away from larger workspace-oriented café models.

Gram Street has been designed as a quick-service café centred on beverages and dessert-led products. The outlet features a compact layout with lilac interiors, chrome detailing, and a glass-front design influenced by contemporary Asian café aesthetics.

The menu focuses on specialty beverages and gelato-based creations. Coffee beans are sourced from regions including Nagaland, Karnataka, and Odisha, with roasting handled in-house. The café’s matcha programme uses Japanese-sourced matcha. Alongside coffee and matcha, the brand has introduced a fresh gelato range integrated into both desserts and beverages. Signature products include the Croissant Gelato Latte, reflecting the café’s focus on combining dessert formats with beverage offerings.

Unlike traditional all-day café formats that offer extensive food menus and long-stay seating, Gram Street has been positioned as a high-turnover, beverage-first café concept with a limited but focused product portfolio.

The launch highlights a growing trend within India’s café and hospitality sector, where operators are increasingly experimenting with compact retail formats, visually driven interiors, and category-specific menus to attract younger urban consumers. For Chef Vanshika Bhatia, the venture marks another addition to her portfolio of modern food and beverage concepts aimed at blending accessibility with product-focused hospitality experiences.
