Restaurant India News: Glenmorangie Introduces The Lasanta 15 Years Old in India

Glenmorangie has expanded its premium Scotch whisky portfolio in India with the launch of The Lasanta 15 Years Old, reinforcing its focus on the country's growing market for aged single malt expressions.

The new introduction completes the brand's age-led portfolio in India, which now includes 12, 15 and 18 Years Old expressions. The move reflects a broader trend within the premium spirits industry, where consumers are increasingly seeking products with greater depth, distinct maturation techniques and more evolved flavour profiles.

Crafted using a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, the whisky has been developed to offer a richer and more layered interpretation of the original expression.

The expression features tasting notes of raisins, honey, toffee and clove, complemented by hints of cinnamon derived from its sherry cask influence. The whisky is distilled using Glenmorangie's signature stills, recognised as the tallest in Scotland, a characteristic that contributes to the brand's lighter and fruit-driven spirit profile.

The launch highlights the increasing sophistication of India's premium beverage market. Hotels, fine-dining restaurants and high-end bars are expanding their aged whisky offerings as consumers demonstrate a growing interest in provenance, maturation techniques and curated tasting experiences.

Glenmorangie The Lasanta 15 Years Old will be available across select outlets in India from June 08, 2026. The expression is priced at Rs 9601 in Mumbai, Rs 6540 in Delhi and Rs 7370 in Bangalore.

The introduction of the new expression underscores the continued momentum of the premiumisation trend within India's alcoholic beverages sector, where international brands are broadening their portfolios to cater to evolving consumer preferences and a rising appetite for luxury spirits.
