Restaurant India News: Chinese Wok Opens First Hubli Outlet at Inorbit Mall

Chinese Wok, a Desi Chinese QSR brand operated by Lenexis Foodworks, has opened its first outlet in Hubli with a new store at Inorbit Mall. The launch marks the brand’s entry into North Karnataka, a region that has seen rising demand for organised dining, driven by a young consumer base, growing mall infrastructure, and increased preference for quick-service formats.

Following this launch, Chinese Wok now operates 36 outlets across Karnataka, including 31 in Bengaluru, and a total of 87 outlets across South India. The expansion reflects the company’s focus on increasing accessibility of its Desi Chinese offerings in emerging urban centres such as Hubli.

The brand has been expanding its offline footprint at a rapid pace across the country. During the 2024–25 period, Chinese Wok opened more than 60 new outlets, taking its overall network to over 240 stores nationwide.

South India remains a core growth region for the brand, supported by rising acceptance of organised QSR dining, strong uptake of food delivery platforms, and high repeat consumption across both metro and Tier II markets. Within this region, Karnataka has emerged as a key scale-up market beyond major metropolitan areas.

The Hubli outlet forms part of Chinese Wok’s broader strategy to create regional clusters across South India by extending operations beyond metros into high-potential Tier II cities. The location at Inorbit Mall offers access to one of the city’s highest-footfall retail destinations. The mall records an average weekday footfall of nearly 5,000 visitors, which increases to around 10,000 visitors on weekends. From this location, the kitchen will support multiple brands under the Lenexis Foodworks portfolio, including Chinese Wok, Big Bowl, and The Momo Co, enabling operational efficiencies through a shared infrastructure model.

Aayush Madhusudan Agrawal, Founder and Director, Lenexis Foodworks, said, “Hubli is an important market for us, and we are delighted to open our first store here. Cities like Hubli are seeing rapid growth in organized dining and modern QSR formats. Our expansion into such markets is a key part of our strategy. With the new outlet at Inorbit Mall, we look forward to offering residents of Hubli our signature Desi Chinese flavours along with value, convenience, and a high-quality dining experience.”

The new outlet will offer a menu that includes burnt garlic fried rice, hakka noodles, chowmein, kurkure momos, six varieties of sauces, and 12 saver combos. It will operate across dine-in, takeaway, and delivery formats, catering to families, students, working professionals, and shoppers in and around the Inorbit Mall catchment area.
