Rebel Foods, the largest internet restaurant brand in the world and the master franchise holder for Wendy's in India has announced the opening of its 160th Wendy’s restaurant in BTM Layout, Bengaluru. This milestone highlights Rebel Foods' steady growth in India's retail and hospitality sectors. Dana Calvert, Wendy’s Chief International Development Officer, led the opening, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to further expansion in India.
With this new location, Bengaluru now has over 20 Wendy’s outlets, including dine-in services at the MG Road and BTM Layout branches. Rebel Foods has rapidly expanded Wendy's footprint across more than 25 cities in India, opening 160 locations in just 36 months.
The BTM Layout restaurant is designed with Wendy’s Global Next Gen concept, emphasizing a digital-first approach. The 50-seater outlet is equipped with self-ordering kiosks, offering customers a seamless experience whether they choose to dine in or take away. The menu includes popular items such as the Spicy Aloo Crunch Burger and Flavour Fresh Premium Burgers, along with global favorites like the iconic Frosty dessert.
Earlier this month, Wendy’s also celebrated the opening of a new restaurant at Logix Mall in Noida. The event was attended by Wendy’s President, International, E.J. Wunsch, alongside Rebel Foods Co-Founder and CEO, Jaydeep Barman.
Commenting on Wendy’s growth in India, E.J. Wunsch said, “India is a key market for Wendy’s global expansion. Our partnership with Rebel Foods allows us to bring Wendy’s fresh, famous food to customers across the country, and the opening of the Noida restaurant provides another opportunity for Wendy’s fans to enjoy our offerings.”
Jaydeep Barman added, “As we continue to expand Wendy’s presence in India, the launch of the new restaurant in Bengaluru marks another step in making the brand more accessible. Our goal is to grow Wendy’s footprint across India while also strengthening our presence in cities where we already operate.”
Wendy’s is known for its diverse menu, featuring customer favorites like the Flavor Fresh range and Spicy Aloo Crunch, as well as new additions like the Mexican, BBQ, Cheese Blast, and Tandoori burgers. The recent introduction of India’s first-ever Chimichurri Burgers, inspired by Argentinian flavors with an Indian twist, has quickly gained popularity.
Rebel Foods plans to continue expanding Wendy’s dine-in restaurants in cities like Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Delivery services will also see further growth, with new restaurants planned in cities such as Tiruppur, Mysore, Nagpur, Bhilai, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Kolkata. The brand aims to open several more locations by December, enhancing its presence in India’s retail and hospitality landscape.
