Monkey Bar Refreshes Delhi's Gastropub Scene

Monkey Bar, the pioneering gastropub from the Olive Group, has re-opened in Delhi, marking a new chapter in its relationship with the city. Originally launched in Bangalore in May 2012, Monkey Bar has expanded to major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. 

Located in its distinctive pyramid glass building in Vasant Kunj, the newly updated Monkey Bar aims to provide a contemporary gastropub experience. The space now features a modern design with a vibrant atmosphere, including a lush terrace and an expanded bar area. 

The refreshed menu includes a blend of regional Indian dishes and global favorites. It features a range of options from street food to international dishes, with a focus on innovative preparations and local ingredients. Notable items include the Fire Pork, Bacon-wrapped Prawns, and regional specialties such as Sahuji Mutton Roll and Puliogare Rice. The menu also includes international dishes like Jackfruit Tacos and a variety of flatbreads.

In addition to its food offerings, Monkey Bar has introduced a new coffee program with categories like The Usual Suspects, You Do Your Brews, and The Unusual Suspects. This program includes classic options and customizable brews, along with unique choices like Nitro Cold Brew and Date Shake Cold Brew.

The beverage menu has been updated with a mix of innovative and classic cocktails, incorporating local flavors and a zero-waste philosophy. Signature cocktails include Down and Dirty, Manga Mule, and Rasam ki Kasam. Non-alcoholic options are also available, such as Shrub and Tonic and Barley and Tonic.

The design overhaul transforms Monkey Bar into what is described as an "Urban Tropical Dreamscape," featuring a bright and inviting color palette. The space now includes new design elements and interactive features, aimed at enhancing the guest experience.

Overall, Monkey Bar’s latest iteration maintains its core identity while introducing new features and offerings, aimed at captivating both loyal patrons and new visitors.
