GOAT Brew, a café restaurant and bar concept designed around all-day dining, beverages, entertainment and community-led experiences. Founded by entrepreneurs Lizaa Malik and Saurabh Pathak, GOAT Brew has been positioned as a multi-format venue catering to different consumer occasions throughout the day, from coffee meetings and casual lunches to evening dining, live music and social gatherings.
The founders said the concept was developed in response to changing consumer behaviour, where guests increasingly seek venues that combine dining, entertainment and social experiences within a single destination.
For Lizaa Malik, the project builds on her experience in the hospitality sector. She is known for founding The Pump Room, one of Mumbai's early microbreweries. Partnering with entrepreneur and technology innovator Saurabh Pathak, the duo has introduced a format that blends food and beverage offerings with community-focused programming.
The venue features an all-day menu curated by Chef Allen Gomes. Key dishes include Gochujang Glazed Chicken, Citrus-Grilled Salmon, Velvet Forest Medley and Veg Thai Green Curry with Jasmine Rice. The beverage programme includes cocktails such as Spice Elite, Garden of Goat and Eastern Bloom, alongside mocktails including Berry Blast and Citrus Glow. The outlet also offers a selection of craft beers aimed at both regular craft beer consumers and new drinkers exploring the category.
Beyond food and beverages, GOAT Brew plans to host live music performances, DJ nights, open mic sessions, artist showcases, workshops and community events as part of its operating model. The venue has also adopted a pet-friendly format and offers dedicated food and beverage options for pets.
The launch reflects the growing trend of experience-led dining formats in urban markets, where operators are increasingly combining food, beverages, entertainment and community engagement to drive customer traffic and longer dwell times. As competition intensifies in Mumbai's café and casual dining segments, concepts that extend beyond traditional restaurant offerings are becoming a larger part of the city's hospitality landscape.
