Mumbai's well-known patisserie, Deliciae by Bunty Mahajan, is making its entry into Bengaluru, aiming to fill a gap in the city's cake and dessert market. Known for its custom celebration and wedding cakes, as well as its seasonal fruit cakes and desserts, Deliciae will now offer its premium products at its flagship store in Indiranagar and through online platforms.
Established in 2004 by Bunty and Suchit Mahajan, Deliciae has built a strong reputation in Mumbai, serving a distinguished clientele that includes Nita Ambani, Deepika Padukone, and Rohit Sharma. The patisserie has earned the Times Food Award for five consecutive years, from 2020 to 2024, underscoring its commitment to quality and consistency.
Deliciae’s menu features signature cakes and desserts such as Biscoff Cheesecake, Belgian Chocolate Cake, Almond Nougat Cake, Tiramisu Gateau, and a variety of seasonal fresh fruit cakes. For the current season from August to November, the focus will be on Fresh Raspberry and Mixed Berry cakes and desserts.
The patisserie’s year-round bestsellers include the Biscoff Cheesecake, Tres Leches, Mango Gateau, Rich Chocolate Strawberry, and Dark Chocolate Ganache Cake made with 54 percent dark Belgian chocolate. Deliciae's concise menu, centered around cakes and desserts, aims to establish the brand as the go-to destination for premium confections in Bengaluru, just as it has in Mumbai.
Deliciae also introduces a bespoke coffee program at its Bengaluru store, featuring the Deliciae Blend—a mix of 80 percent Washed Arabica and 20 percent Washed Robusta beans from BR Hills and Sakleshpur. This blend offers a creamy texture with notes of milk chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel. Popular coffee options include Cappuccino, Americano, and Mocha, with the latter gaining popularity for its balanced flavor.
The store’s coffee experience is enhanced by the La Marzocco Linea Mini espresso machine, known for its advanced features that ensure consistent quality. The coffee menu offers classic options like espresso, cortado, macchiato, and latte, with oat milk available as a non-dairy alternative.
Bunty Mahajan, the creative force behind Deliciae said, “We mark 20 years in the market this year and feel privileged to have earned the trust and love of our patrons. After delivering consistent quality across Mumbai, we are excited to bring the same gourmet patisserie experience to Bengaluru.”
The new 620 sq. ft. outlet in Indiranagar offers a warm, inviting ambiance with an open bar design and soft lighting. It seats 20-25 people and features community tables to encourage socializing. Deliciae’s central kitchen, attached to the flagship store, spans 2,200 sq. ft. and is equipped to handle up to 1,500 orders per day, servicing both real-time orders and online deliveries.
With its expansion into Bengaluru, Deliciae is set to offer premium cakes and desserts for every occasion, aiming to replicate its success in Mumbai and become a staple in the city's culinary scene.
