Awas Country Club, a patrons-only private club by Sun-n-Sand, has opened in Alibaug, extending the hospitality group’s six-decade presence into the private country club segment. Located within mature mango groves and landscaped greens, the property is designed around low-density accommodation, dining, wellness and recreational facilities.
The club has three five-bedroom villas, each measuring 4,700 sq. ft., forming its residential component. Access is limited to patrons and their guests, with the format focused on private stays rather than conventional resort operations.
The clubhouse includes a multi-cuisine restaurant, wellness facilities, sports and entertainment areas. Drift operates as the all-day dining venue, while other facilities include a freeform swimming pool, private theatre, karaoke and games room. The property also has a rooftop bar and Waves, a venue for larger gatherings and celebrations.
Its wellness and recreation offering includes treatment rooms, a Himalayan salt therapy room, relaxation lounge, high-performance gym, yoga and Pilates studio and golf simulator. Outdoor sporting facilities include pickleball, padel and tennis.
The accommodation and club format is also designed to support multi-generational stays, allowing family members to use different facilities independently while sharing the same residential space. The five-bedroom villas provide a common base, while the club’s wellness, dining, sports and entertainment facilities cater to different age groups.
The property’s interiors use handcrafted elements and a coastal design approach, with landscaped areas, shaded pathways and open spaces integrated into the overall layout. Awas Country Club is positioned by Sun-n-Sand as a private hospitality format focused on longer stays and shared family use, rather than a traditional resort model.
