Restaurant India News: Vantara Enters Ice Cream Business With Mumbai Launch at Jio World Drive

Reliance Foundation’s animal welfare initiative Vantara has entered the ice cream segment with the launch of Vantara Creamery at Jio World Drive in Mumbai.

The launch was announced through Vantara’s official Instagram account, where the company shared what appeared to be an AI-generated promotional film. The video featured a tiger travelling through Mumbai streets alongside a Vantara Creamery van, linking the new food and beverage venture with the wildlife-focused identity associated with the Vantara brand.

In another social media post, the company said Vantara Creamery would launch with 17 flavours, including Filter Coffee, Lemon Sorbet, Guava Chilli, and Malai Kulfi. The brand added that the flavour lineup had been “curated especially for your tastebuds”.

The move marks Vantara’s entry into the organised dessert and experiential food retail segment at a time when premium ice cream and artisanal dessert formats continue to expand across metro cities.

Vantara was launched in 2024 as a 3,500-acre animal rescue, treatment, and rehabilitation project in Jamnagar, Gujarat, under the Reliance Foundation. The initiative is led by Anant Ambani. The launch of Vantara Creamery also reflects the increasing crossover between lifestyle-led hospitality formats and experience-driven retail concepts, particularly in high-footfall premium destinations such as Mumbai’s luxury retail and dining hubs.
