Sky Golf, positioned as the city’s first lifestyle-led golf and entertainment destination. Located in Varthur, the concept combines interactive golf bays with food and beverage service, targeting consumers seeking participative leisure rather than conventional bar or club formats.
The model integrates golf simulation, dining and social engagement within a single venue. Guests can access golf bays while simultaneously ordering from a multi-cuisine kitchen and bar menu, eliminating the need to shift between activity and dining zones. The format allows walk-ins as well as advance bookings, with on-ground assistance available for first-time players.
The concept draws inspiration from Topgolf Dubai, where golf has been positioned as a social and entertainment-led activity rather than a traditional sport. Vinod ELV, Director at ELV Projects, conceptualised the project after observing how sport, community and leisure are integrated in global urban markets. The Bengaluru project represents an attempt to replicate that blended model within an Indian metro setting.
Operationally, the venue houses multiple golf bays alongside a full-service kitchen and bar. The food menu includes a mix of casual and premium offerings such as finger foods, chaat selections, Asian starters, pizzas, pastas, tandoori grills and biryanis. Beverage offerings range from signature cocktails to standard bar selections. The positioning shifts through the day, operating as a relaxed recreational space during daytime hours and transitioning to a more active social environment in the evening.
The launch reflects a broader shift toward experience-led formats that combine activity and dining under one roof. Such hybrid concepts are gaining traction in urban India, where consumers increasingly seek interactive group experiences over traditional nightlife formats. By integrating sport simulation with hospitality operations, the venue aims to increase dwell time and average ticket size through combined play and dining spend.
Vinod ELV said, “We wanted to give Bengaluru an experience beyond clubs and bars, something interactive, social, and global in spirit. The city folks already know how to go out and enjoy, we wanted to give them a reason to stay and play. Sky Golf steps into that format while offering a global lifestyle perspective.”
Industry observers note that Bengaluru’s social dining market has evolved significantly over the past decade, with consumers open to niche and experiential formats. By positioning golf in a more accessible and urban setting, Sky Golf introduces a differentiated proposition within the city’s competitive food and beverage ecosystem.
The launch signals continued experimentation within India’s hospitality sector, where entertainment, sport and dining are increasingly being integrated into unified destination formats designed to drive repeat visits and group engagement.
