ROSIND, the official India partner of the Russian Export Center, has introduced Soyuzprod Vodka in India, marking the entry of a Russian vodka brand into the country's expanding premium spirits market.
The launch forms part of ROSIND’s broader strategy to increase the presence of Russian consumer brands in India through local distribution networks, retail partnerships, and long-term brand-building initiatives. The organisation is led by industry veterans, including Oleg Kalaev, who has held several senior government positions in North Ossetia-Alania, and is working to expand Russian product categories tailored for Indian consumers.
Bobby Kohli, Executive Director, ROSIND, said, "India is one of the most exciting growth markets for premium spirits globally, and consumers today are increasingly seeking authenticity, heritage and quality. Soyuzprod embodies the rich tradition of Russian vodka-making while offering a contemporary experience that resonates with modern consumers. Through this launch, we aim to establish Soyuzprod as a credible and accessible Russian vodka brand for India's evolving premium spirits landscape and build a meaningful presence in the country's growing premium vodka segment."
The launch comes as India's vodka category continues to evolve, driven by increasing consumer interest in premium and imported offerings. Industry estimates value the Indian vodka market at over Rs 39,000 crore (USD 4.7 billion), with projections indicating growth to approximately USD 7.5 billion by 2034. Industry growth is being supported by premiumisation trends, rising disposable incomes, changing consumption patterns, and growing interest in cocktail culture among younger consumers.
The launch also reflects increasing trade activity between India and Russia, with vodka emerging as a key category within Russian spirits exports to the country. Soyuzprod Vodka is produced at the Salut Distillery, a facility with origins dating back to 1884. The vodka is made using selected grains, Lux-grade spirit, and glacial water. The brand will be available across India with prices starting from INR 1000.
With the launch of Soyuzprod, ROSIND aims to strengthen the visibility of Russian spirits in India while expanding opportunities for imported premium beverage brands in one of the world's fastest-growing alcohol markets.
