Restaurant India News: Rebel Foods Strengthens Wendy’s Gujarat Presence With Two Dine-In Launches

Rebel Foods, the master franchise holder for Wendy’s in India, has expanded the brand’s physical presence with the launch of two new Wendy’s dine-in restaurants in Gujarat, located in Ahmedabad and Anand. The move reinforces Gujarat’s position as a key growth market for organised quick service restaurant chains and marks another step in Wendy’s steady expansion across the country.

The newly opened outlets cater to both dine-in and takeaway customers and are positioned as full-service formats aligned with evolving consumer dining preferences. With these additions, Wendy’s aims to deepen its reach in Gujarat, where demand for global food brands continues to rise, particularly among younger urban consumers.

The Gujarat restaurants offer Wendy’s established menu, including its Frosty dessert and a range of globally inspired burgers featuring flavour profiles such as Chimichurri, Cajun, Buldak, BBQ, Tandoori, and Nachoburg. The menu strategy reflects Wendy’s focus on offering varied international flavours under a single brand proposition within the gourmet QSR segment.

Ankush Grover, Co-founder & Global CEO, Rebel Foods, said, “Gujarat continues to be a strong growth market for us, driven by a young consumer base and increasing demand for global food experiences. The launch of dine-in restaurants in Ahmedabad and Anand reflects our commitment to expanding Wendy’s presence in Gujarat while offering formats that align with evolving consumer preferences.”

As Wendy’s scales its India operations, the brand continues to target Gen Z and Millennial consumers, with a focus on flavour-led offerings and contemporary store formats. Rebel Foods is driving this growth through a hybrid operating model that combines traditional dine-in restaurants with cloud kitchens, supported by its technology-led platform.

Since entering the Indian market a little over five years ago, Wendy’s has expanded to more than 200 locations nationwide, strengthening its footprint across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. The Gujarat expansion underscores Rebel Foods’ strategy of balancing physical retail growth with operational efficiency as it builds Wendy’s into a widely accessible QSR brand in India.
