Lemon Tree Hotels has announced the signing of a new property in Garudeshwar, Gujarat, as part of its ongoing expansion strategy in western India. With this addition, the company’s total portfolio in the state will increase to 32 properties, comprising 11 operational hotels and 21 under development.
The upcoming Lemon Tree Hotel in Garudeshwar will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited. The property is planned with 90 rooms and will include a restaurant, banquet and meeting spaces, along with recreational facilities such as a swimming pool, spa, and fitness centre.
From a connectivity standpoint, the hotel is located approximately 85 km from Vadodara International Airport and around 5 km from Ekta Nagar Railway Station, providing access for both domestic and regional travellers.
Neelendra Singh, Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd., said “Destinations like Garudeshwar are emerging as important nodes within India’s expanding tourism and pilgrimage landscape, where increasing visitor flows are driving demand for quality, branded hospitality. Our focus has been to build presence in such locations, where we see sustained demand supported by strong travel circuits. This signing reflects that approach and allows us to further strengthen our presence in Gujarat.”
The development highlights a broader industry trend where hospitality operators are expanding into tier 2 and pilgrimage-focused destinations to capture growing demand. With increased infrastructure development and improved connectivity, such locations are seeing higher footfall, prompting hotel chains to scale their presence with branded offerings and standardized services.
