Restaurant India News: ITC Hotels Launches 113-Key Welcomhotel in Mohali Near Chandigarh Airport

ITC Hotels has expanded its footprint in North India with the launch of its 30th Welcomhotel, the 113 keys Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Mohali, Chandigarh. The opening strengthens the brand’s presence in the Tricity region of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali, a market witnessing steady commercial and lifestyle-driven growth. The property is being operated under a management contract.

Located near Chandigarh International Airport and adjacent to CP67 Mall, the hotel is positioned to tap into airport traffic, corporate demand and destination events. The launch aligns with ITC Hotels’ strategy to expand in high-growth urban clusters through asset-light models.

The property offers 113 rooms and suites, multiple dining venues, meeting and banqueting spaces, and wellness facilities. Food and beverage outlets include WelcomCafé, Swizzle, and the soon-to-open Kebabs and Kurries. The hotel also features WelcomSthalika, which presents regional dishes such as Makki ki Roti, Sarson ka Saag, Butter Chicken and Kadhai Paneer. Recreational infrastructure includes a swimming pool, fitness centre and a spa that is scheduled to open shortly.

Mohali has emerged as a growing IT, commercial and residential hub, driving demand for premium hospitality across corporate, weddings and social segments. The hotel’s scale and location are expected to support business travel, MICE activity and local event demand within the Tricity belt.
