Restaurant India News: IHCL Signs SeleQtions Hotel in Devanahalli, Expands Bengaluru Portfolio

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a SeleQtions-branded hotel in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. The project involves the conversion of an existing standalone resort, along with an inventory expansion to 120 keys, strengthening IHCL’s presence in North Bengaluru.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Bengaluru is among the fastest-growing cities in the country, powered by its thriving IT and entrepreneurial ecosystem. North Bengaluru, particularly Devanahalli, is witnessing rapid development driven by the expansion of the airport and the presence of sectors such as aerospace, biotechnology, defence and education. The signing of this hotel, the first SeleQtions in Bengaluru, will cater to this growth and expand our brandscape in this key lodging market. We are delighted to partner with BABA Developers Private Limited for this project.”

The property, to be branded as SeleQtions Prakruthi Resort, Devanahalli, Bengaluru, will operate under IHCL’s SeleQtions portfolio. The hotel will feature 115 keys as part of its current plan and will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar and a lounge. Guest facilities will include a spa, gym and swimming pool. The project will also incorporate over 6,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space, supported by meeting rooms, targeting both social events and corporate gatherings.

The location strategy aligns with the rapid infrastructure and commercial growth in Devanahalli, driven by airport expansion and the presence of aerospace, biotechnology, defence and educational institutions. From a market standpoint, North Bengaluru has emerged as a high-potential hospitality corridor, supported by business travel demand and event-led revenue opportunities.
