Restaurant India News: Glenmorangie Launches Infinita 18 Years Old with Exclusive Dining Series in India

Glenmorangie, the Highland single malt whisky brand, has announced the launch of the Infinita Dinner Series — a nationwide culinary initiative that explores the pairing of premium whisky with fine dining. The series is inspired by Glenmorangie Infinita 18 Years Old, an award-winning single malt that has earned over 23 international recognitions since 2011 for its craftsmanship and complexity.

Developed in collaboration with leading chefs across India, the Infinita Dinner Series brings together whisky and gastronomy in a curated experience that reflects both creativity and local preferences. The initiative highlights how Glenmorangie’s single malts, particularly the Infinita 18 Years Old, complement Indian flavours through thoughtfully paired tasting menus. The series will be hosted in several cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, and Kolkata.

The journey began on November 1 at The Lodhi in New Delhi, where Glenmorangie partnered with Chef Ashish Sharma to present a themed menu titled “Layers of Memory, Echoes of Oak.” Available from November 1 to 15 and priced at Rs 4999++ per person, the dining experience connects the emotional and sensory aspects of food and whisky. Each course draws inspiration from the chef’s personal memories and culinary influences, brought to life with seasonal ingredients and contemporary techniques.

The tasting menu starts with an amuse bouche featuring Granny Smith apple, coconut cream, and green cardamom topped with a basil flower. The salad course offers two variations — Capri Essence, combining mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, and basil oil, and Parma Bloom, which adds Parma ham for added richness. The pasta course, paired with Glenmorangie The Original 12 Years Old, includes a choice between Forest Fold, with porcini and portobello mushroom ravioli in buttermilk foam, or Coastal Velvet, featuring lobster ravioli with bisque and asparagus.

The main course, paired with Glenmorangie The Infinita 18 Years Old, includes two options — Roman Reverie, a baked Roman artichoke with garlic sauce and rocket leaves, and Rustic Gold, a slow-cooked chicken dish with corn purée, potato, and jus. The pairing showcases the whisky’s mellow sweetness, dried fruit notes, and honeyed finish, aligning with the earthy tones of each dish. The meal concludes with a Fig and Date Sticky Pudding served alongside The Date & Fig Old Fashioned, a cocktail prepared with Glenmorangie Infinita 18 Years Old, date and fig syrup, and bitters.

Smriti Sekhsaria, Marketing Director, Moët Hennessy India, said, “The Glenmorangie Infinita Dinner Series represents our continued celebration of creativity and craftsmanship. With the Infinita 18 Years Old now available in India, we wanted to create an experience that lets guests taste its infinite layers of flavour in dialogue with beautifully crafted cuisine. Each chef brings their own story and regional touch to the table, elevating the essence of Glenmorangie in a uniquely Indian context.”

The Glenmorangie Infinita 18 Years Old reflects the brand’s commitment to balance and depth. Created under the direction of Dr. Bill Lumsden, Director of Whisky Creation, the whisky matures for 15 years in American oak bourbon casks, with part of it aged for three additional years in Oloroso sherry casks. The final product, bottled at 43 percent ABV, offers notes of honeyed caramelized citrus, floral jasmine, and gentle spice. Presented in copper and blue packaging with an infinity motif, the Infinita continues Glenmorangie’s tradition of precision and innovation in whisky-making.
