Restaurant India News: Call Me Sofia Launches Edible Cocktails in Mumbai Bar Scene

Call Me Sofia, located within Olive Bar & Kitchen Bandra, has introduced a new “edible cocktails” menu, marking a format shift in how beverages are being presented in the city’s bar segment.

The concept involves transforming cocktails into soft-set, structured formats that are consumed in bites rather than as liquid drinks. Each offering is designed to maintain the balance of spirit, acidity, sweetness and bitterness, while altering the delivery format.

The initial menu includes reinterpretations of existing cocktails. La Dolce Vita has been adapted into a format retaining its herbal and citrus profile with a bitter finish. Caprese-tini has been reworked into a savoury version with saline notes, while Breakfast in Bed has been positioned as a richer, dessert-style option. Another offering, IYKYK, has been structured as a layered, bittersweet composition.

The move reflects an increasing trend in the hospitality sector where bars are experimenting with format innovation to differentiate offerings and drive consumer engagement. By converting cocktails into edible formats, operators are attempting to extend the overall consumption experience and increase dwell time within outlets.

In addition to alcoholic variants, the menu includes non-alcoholic options developed with a similar focus on flavour balance and texture. The offering is aligned with aperitivo-style consumption, where food and beverage formats are combined into a single experience.

The edible cocktail range is currently available at the outlet, which operates from 6 PM onwards in Bandra. The development highlights how standalone bars and restaurant-led concepts in Mumbai are continuing to evolve formats to attract repeat consumers and stand out in a competitive nightlife market.
