Om Sweets has expanded its Gurugram operations with the launch of a premium retail outlet on Golf Course Road. The new store brings together the brand’s traditional Indian sweets, savouries and vegetarian food offerings in a contemporary retail format, targeting customers across everyday dining, festive purchases and gifting occasions.
The outlet extends Om Sweets’ presence in a key commercial and residential area of Gurugram. Its product range goes beyond mithai to include savoury preparations and a broader vegetarian food menu, allowing the brand to serve multiple consumption occasions through one location.
The new format presents the company’s existing food portfolio in an updated retail environment while retaining its traditional product range. The expansion comes as Om Sweets continues to build its presence across Gurugram, Faridabad, Delhi, Sohna and Palwal.
The business traces its origins to the early 1940s, when Shri Hari Chand Kathuria Ji started a family-run sweets venture. After Partition, the family rebuilt its business in India. In 1960, Shri Om Prakash Kathuria Ji established a shop in Arjun Nagar, Gurugram. The business subsequently expanded from traditional sweets into savouries and vegetarian food.
A spokesperson for Om Sweets said, “At Om Sweets, our focus has always been on serving food that people can associate with their everyday lives and special occasions. Mithai remains an important part of what we do, but our offering today extends to savouries and a wider range of vegetarian food. With our Golf Course Road outlet, we are bringing this variety to customers in a contemporary setting, making it convenient for them to explore our offerings for different occasions while continuing to enjoy the flavours they know and trust.”
The Golf Course Road launch marks another step in Om Sweets’ retail expansion, with the company continuing to position its sweets, savouries and vegetarian food categories within a combined food retail format.
