EIH Limited, the flagship company of The Oberoi Group, has entered into a long-term partnership with Bhartiya Group to develop and operate a portfolio of 20 luxury lifestyle resorts across India and selected international markets, marking a significant expansion of its hospitality portfolio into the wellness tourism segment.
The collaboration combines Bhartiya Group's experience in integrated township development with The Oberoi Group's luxury hospitality expertise. The first three projects have been identified in Coorg, Kabini and Hampi, with operations expected to commence by 2030.
The companies said the resorts will focus on wellness-led hospitality experiences, featuring gardens, indoor-outdoor living spaces, personalised wellness programmes and dining concepts designed to support longer guest stays and well-being.
The expansion comes as demand for experiential and wellness-focused travel continues to grow, with travellers increasingly seeking personalised hospitality experiences.
Snehdeep Aggarwal, Founder and Chairman of Bhartiya Group, said, "More than just resorts, I dream of creating blue zones where people live, laugh, and love more. In this new world, people will come to surrender, nourish, and evolve. Wellness here feels joyful and abundant. I deeply value our partnership with The Oberoi Group as we bring this new world to life."
Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman of The Oberoi Group, said, "We are delighted to partner with Bhartiya on this distinctive vision. Design will be at the heart of each resort, with immersive gardens and thoughtfully articulated spaces shaping the guest experience. The seamless interplay between architecture and landscape will create environments that are both restorative and inspiring."
Vikram Oberoi, Chief Executive Officer of The Oberoi Group, said, "This partnership with Bhartiya to develop 20 new resorts under management by EIH allows us to extend our philosophy of intuitive and personalised service into a wellness-enhanced hospitality offering. Every interaction will be thoughtfully crafted to stimulate the senses and create lasting memories such that a departing guest will leave with an unquenchable desire to repeat the experience."
The agreement strengthens EIH's presence in the fast-growing wellness hospitality segment while expanding its management portfolio through new luxury resort developments in high-potential leisure destinations.
