Azure Hospitality, co-founded by Rahul Khanna and Kabir Suri, is expanding its restaurant portfolio through new city entries, refreshed outlets and new formats across its existing brands.
Over the past year, Dhaba Estd 1986 Delhi has added outlets in Civil Lines, Delhi; Patna; Meerut; Kanpur; and Elan Epic Mall, Gurugram. The brand has also relaunched its Nehru Place, Delhi and Gulshan One29, Noida locations.
Mamagoto has expanded into Raipur, Kanpur and Coimbatore, while reopening its Nexus Avenue, Saket, Delhi and DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, Delhi outlets. The brand has also introduced Mamagoto Nomikai at Cyber Hub, Gurugram, a format focused on food and drinks with a more evening-oriented positioning.
The group’s next phase includes an entry into Itanagar through a new concept under the Mamagoto brand. Chandigarh is also set to get Jhoom, a new standalone restaurant brand being developed by Azure Hospitality.
Vineet Kochar, COO, Azure Hospitality, said, “We are at a point where our growth is becoming increasingly multidimensional. We are taking brands that have already built strong consumer equity into new cities, but we are also asking what else those brands can become. Mamagoto Nomikai and our upcoming Itanagar concept are examples of that thinking. At the same time, Jhoom gives us the opportunity to start with a blank canvas and build an entirely new brand. For us, the objective is not to grow for the sake of scale. It is to build relevant, distinctive and sustainable restaurant businesses that can adapt to different markets and continue to remain meaningful to the consumer.”
The expansion reflects Azure Hospitality’s strategy of taking established restaurant brands into new markets while developing additional formats and independent concepts. The company operates a multi-brand portfolio spanning Indian, Asian and contemporary dining.
