Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has introduced Dolce Nova, a new upper-upscale extension of its Dolce Hotels & Resorts brand, targeting the growing lifestyle hospitality segment across EMEA.
The new brand is based on the Italian concept of il dolce far niente, or “the sweetness of doing nothing”, with its hotel proposition focused on slower-paced stays, wellbeing, local connections and destination-led experiences.
Dolce Nova will operate separately from the existing Dolce Hotels & Resorts positioning, which remains focused on meetings, events and resort experiences. The new extension is aimed at travellers seeking experience-led stays, while also offering owners and developers an upper-upscale lifestyle hotel format backed by Wyndham's distribution, technology and loyalty platform.
The brand has been developed around five guest experience areas covering arrival and social spaces, wellness, accommodation, transitional areas and work or community spaces. These include lounges, cafés, bars and restaurants; spa, wellness and fitness facilities; guestrooms and suites; curated transitional spaces; and co-working and social areas with events.
“Dolce delivers on a simple idea: that where people come together matters. Over time, we've seen travellers place greater value on something that often feels in short supply: time. Time to slow down, to be present, to reconnect with loved ones, and to experience destinations in a more meaningful way. Dolce Nova is a natural extension of the Dolce family, bringing its ethos into the upper-upscale lifestyle segment through design and experiences inspired by il dolce far niente and the simple luxury of time well spent. As demand for meaningful, experience-led travel continues growing, Dolce Nova offers owners and developers a distinctive new opportunity, combining European-inspired design, curated social experiences and a strong sense of place with the scale, technology and commercial power of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.” said Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
Wyndham said multiple discussions for Dolce Nova are already underway across EMEA. The brand has been structured to accommodate both conversions of existing hotels and new-build projects. Dolce Nova will also have access to Wyndham's global distribution and technology infrastructure and Wyndham Rewards, the company's loyalty programme with more than 126 million enrolled members worldwide.
The launch comes as the upper-upscale and lifestyle hotel segments see increasing demand for locally connected, wellness-oriented and experience-led accommodation. Wyndham is positioning Dolce Nova to participate in this segment while extending the Dolce brand into a different hotel format.
