Berlin Brew Expands in Mumbai With New Kamala Mills Outlet

Mumbai-based craft beer and hospitality brand Berlin Brew has opened a new outlet at Kamala Mills, Lower Parel, expanding its footprint into one of Mumbai’s established food and nightlife districts.

The new outlet combines Berlin Brew’s craft beer portfolio with a multi-cuisine food menu, positioning the format around casual dining, after-work drinking and social occasions.

Berlin Brew was founded by a team with previous hospitality experience across concepts including Bombay Cocktail Bar, Blanco Bar Eatery and Hangout, Boho Bar & Kitchen and Shalom. The founders developed an interest in craft beer through travels across Germany, London and Colombia, where they were exposed to different brewing styles and beer cultures.

The brand's beer portfolio includes Milk Stout, Dunkelweizen, Belgian Witbier and Hefeweizen, along with cider and seasonal offerings. Recent additions include Kala Khatta Cider and Lichi Vanilla Cider, while the seasonal range includes Mango IPA. The food menu includes dishes such as Gochujang Potatoes, Mini Blue Cheese Kulcha and Butter Garlic Prawns.

“When we first discovered craft beer during our travels, what stood out to us was the variety and the attention to how each beer was made. We were used to seeing the same limited choices, so the idea that beer could have different styles, flavours and personalities really fascinated us. That curiosity eventually led us to research the category in India and think about how we could create something that felt authentic to us. With Berlin Brew, our intention was never to make craft beer complicated or intimidating. We wanted to make good beer, get the flavours right and create a space where people could simply come in, relax and enjoy themselves. The Kamala Mills opening adds another Mumbai location to Berlin Brew's expansion and gives the brand a presence in the Lower Parel food and entertainment market. The outlet brings its beer, food and casual dining format together as the company continues to expand its craft beer-led hospitality business.
