WelcomHeritage Kurki Palace in Jaipur combines historic architecture, family artefacts, accommodation and multiple dining formats as part of its heritage hospitality offering. The property is associated with the Ranbanka Rathore family, which traces its roots to Kurki Fort in Rajasthan’s Pushkar region.
Recovered cannons from the fort stand at the entrance, while portraits of 13 previous generations, a handwritten genealogy book and other family heirlooms feature across the property. The four-storey haveli is built in Bansi Paharpur red sandstone and incorporates Mughal arches, Marwari design elements and carved detailing. Its interiors include stained glass, chandeliers, antique doors and traditional furnishings.
The property has 34 rooms and suites, ranging from Rawla Rooms to the 600 sq ft Maharaja Suite, which features a four-poster bed and gold-foil detailing. Maharani Suites offer additional seating and antique carved furniture. The interiors draw on regional art and design traditions, including Shekhawati artwork and Jodhpur’s indigo work.
Food and beverage is another part of the property’s offering. Swarn Mahal, located on the first floor, serves Asian-inspired dishes alongside handcrafted cocktails and bar bites. Its interiors use crimson and gold finishes, with gold detailing incorporated into the design.
The menu includes vegetarian dishes such as Jade Garden Maki, Royal Tandoori Maki, Imperial Lotus Veg Dim Sum, Silk Route Veg Bao and Burmese Traditional Veg Khow Suey. Non-vegetarian options include Golden Tempura Maki, Dragon Chicken Dim Sum, Red Dragon Chicken Bao, Burmese Crown Chicken Khow Suey and Bangkok Imperial Chicken Pad Thai.
Other dining spaces include Darbar and Sky Lounge on the top floor, Badal Mahal, which features indigo interiors and a hand-painted sky ceiling, and Sugar Coated Café, operated by an all-women team and designed in the style of a French patisserie.
The property also has an indoor swimming pool, spa facilities with steam and sauna rooms, a gym and terrace patios. Its location places it around 20 minutes from Jaipur International Airport and the railway station, with access to attractions including Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jal Mahal, Jantar Mantar and Johri Bazaar. The property is wheelchair accessible and uses solar energy in part of its operations.
Harsh Vardhan Singh Kurki, owner and Director at Kurki Heritage, said, “At Kurki Palace, we believe that hospitality is about more than just offering a place to stay or dine. It is about making people feel connected to the history, culture and traditions of a place. We want our guests to experience Rajasthan through its food, architecture and the warmth of its hospitality, while ensuring that the experience feels relevant to today’s traveller.”
