Bengaluru Duty Free is showcasing Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt Whisky Madhuca I and Six Brothers Mahura, Mahua Spirit, bringing two mahua-based expressions into the airport’s spirits retail portfolio. The display highlights the use of mahua, an indigenous Indian flower with longstanding cultural significance, in contemporary spirits production.
Produced by South Seas Distilleries, Crazy Cock Madhuca I is matured in ex-brandy and ex-bourbon casks before being finished in ex-Mahura casks. Its profile includes floral and earthy notes alongside fruit, spice and oak. The whisky won a Gold Medal at the World Whisky Masters 2026 and secured a top 3 rank at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) UK 2026.
The showcase also features Six Brothers Mahura, Mahua Spirit, which is made from mahua flowers and double-distilled in copper pot stills. The two products present different approaches to using the indigenous ingredient, from mahua-finished single malt whisky to a spirit made directly from the flowers.
Gijs van de Ven, Chief Executive Officer, Bengaluru Duty Free, said "Travel retail is about discovery, and our goal is to create memorable experiences for every traveler who visits Bengaluru Duty Free.
