Van Rāsa Opens in Kasauli With 16-Key Retreat and Syāhi Restaurant

Van Rāsa, a new boutique luxury retreat in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, has opened with a 16-key property combining accommodation, wellness and food and beverage offerings.

The hotel’s culinary offering is led by Syāhi, a multi-cuisine restaurant and bar featuring 30-foot glass walls and French-inspired interiors. The restaurant serves Indian and international cuisine, along with in-house bakes and wood-fired pizzas.

Syāhi also includes an outdoor deck, with weekend live music forming part of the restaurant’s offering.

The property’s wellness facilities include Neer, with an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, ice bath, separate steam and sauna facilities and skylit massage rooms. The hotel also has a dedicated Yoga Deck and The Den, a recreation lounge with a gym, pool table and board games.

"Kasauli has a certain quiet magic to it, and building Van Rāsa here felt as much about restraint as ambition," said Vaibhv Vardhan, Managing Director, Van Rāsa. "We didn't want another hotel competing for attention, we wanted a place guests could disappear into, where the mountains do the talking. The hotel also offers curated experiences including nature walks, picnics, a traditional Himachali Dham and terrace bonfires. Van Rāsa is approximately a five-to-six-hour drive from Delhi and a 59-km drive from Chandigarh. Chandigarh is the nearest airport, roughly two hours away by road, while Kalka railway station is about 35 km from the property.
