Roastery Coffee House has opened its 17th House in Banashankari II Stage, Bengaluru, marking its first outlet in Karnataka. The Hyderabad-born speciality coffee brand, which began operations in 2017, is entering a market that is also the primary sourcing region for its coffee.
Nearly 99% of the coffee served by Roastery currently comes from Karnataka, particularly the Chikmagalur region. The company sources approximately 100 tonnes of green coffee annually and works directly with 15+ coffee estates and farmers. Its coffee programme focuses exclusively on 80+ speciality-grade coffees, including experimental processes and micro-lots.
Nishant Sinha, Founder & CEO, Roastery Coffee House, said the Bengaluru opening connects the brand’s retail expansion with its coffee sourcing base. “Roastery was born in Hyderabad, but the coffee that built Roastery was born in Karnataka. For years, coffee from Chikmagalur has travelled to our roastery and then to our Coffee Houses across India. Now, for the first time, we are serving that coffee through a Roastery Coffee House in Karnataka itself. So Bengaluru doesn’t feel like entering another market for us. It feels like our coffee coming home.”
The Bengaluru House spans approximately 4,000 sq. ft. and has seating for around 80 guests. The outlet follows Roastery’s contemporary café format, with design elements drawing on Indian arches and traditional design references. Kalamkari-inspired artwork and upholstery are incorporated alongside soft pastel colours.
The coffee programme includes signature offerings such as Cranberry Coffee and Brownie Blend Cold Coffee, along with cappuccinos and manual brews using speciality-grade Indian coffees. The food menu covers sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, pastas and other café options, while coffee remains the central part of the offering.
The company is also planning further expansion in Bengaluru. Roastery is looking to establish approximately five to seven Coffee Houses across the city over the next one to two years, subject to suitable locations and spaces.
The Bengaluru expansion adds a new market to Roastery’s existing House network while placing its retail presence closer to the Karnataka coffee estates that account for nearly 99% of its current coffee sourcing.
