Uncle Peter’s Pancakes has crossed the 100-outlet milestone in India, marking a significant phase in the brand’s national expansion. The pancake-focused QSR currently operates 110 outlets, with an additional 40 locations in the final stages of setup, reflecting continued momentum in its rollout strategy.
Founded in December 2019 in Bangalore, the brand began with a single outlet and a focused concept centred on introducing international-style pancakes to the Indian quick-service segment. Over the past few years, this concept has scaled into a network spanning more than 40 cities, positioning Uncle Peter’s Pancakes as a growing player within the organised QSR and casual dining space.
While pancakes remain the core offering, the brand’s menu extends to waffles, shakes, specialty coffee, and savoury items, allowing it to address multiple dayparts and consumer occasions. The format is designed for broad demographic appeal, including students, working professionals, and families, supporting repeat visits across breakfast, snacking, and all-day dining needs.
Expansion has been driven primarily through a franchise-led model, supported by standardised operating systems, design templates, and training frameworks. This structure has enabled faster market entry while maintaining consistency across outlets in terms of service delivery, menu execution, and store aesthetics. The plug-and-play format has also attracted a growing base of franchise partners, supporting scale without significant dilution of brand controls.
From an operational standpoint, the brand places emphasis on recipe development, process standardisation, and staff training to ensure uniform customer experience across locations. Menu innovation balances global flavour profiles with local preferences, helping the brand remain relevant across diverse regional markets.
Uncle Peter’s Pancakes plans to open 50 more outlets in the next phase, with a focus on both metro and emerging markets. The roadmap also includes deeper use of technology within operations, further menu expansion, and continued strengthening of the franchise network.
Crossing the 100-outlet threshold signals Uncle Peter’s Pancakes’ transition from an emerging concept to a scalable national QSR brand. The milestone reflects increasing consumer acceptance of niche, single-category formats within India’s evolving foodservice market, as well as the effectiveness of a standardised, franchise-driven growth strategy.
