Tulsi, a vegetarian dining concept inspired by India’s sacred herb and cultural traditions, has opened its first restaurant at Elan Epic Gurugram. The launch introduces a new space for mindful and authentic dining, centered around “The Leaf Eternal” — a philosophy celebrating Tulsi not only as an ingredient but as a symbol of purity, balance, and wellness.
“Tulsi is our tribute to the timeless purity of Indian vegetarian cuisine, where every ingredient, every flavour, and every moment reflects a sense of balance, warmth, and authenticity,” said Rohit Tandon, Co-Founder, Tulsi. “We wanted to create a space that feels soulful, refined, and deeply rooted in tradition.”
The restaurant’s menu blends traditional Indian vegetarian recipes with contemporary techniques. Dishes such as Jackfruit Galouti on Saffron Coins, Edamame ki Tikki, and Amritsari Malai Broccoli with Rose Petal Dust showcase the brand’s culinary direction. Its Chaat Counter offers reimagined street food favourites like Kathal Ki Tikki Chaat, Dilli 6 Tokri Chaat, and Dhokla Bruschetta, reflecting a modern interpretation of classic flavours.
“At Tulsi, we believe food is an emotion, an expression of love, culture, and connection,” said Karan Makan, Co-Founder, Tulsi. “Our philosophy is simple: to serve honest Indian flavours with a modern touch, in an ambience that feels both comforting and elevated. With our roots in India and our vision going global, Tulsi will soon debut internationally in Dubai, bringing the soulful taste of India to the world stage.”
The restaurant’s beverage program is inspired by Ayurveda, temple rituals, and regional Indian traditions. Its signature drinks—Kokum Breeze from Maharashtra, Pineapple Tulsi Punch from Kerala, and Aam Panna Refresher from Rajasthan—draw on local ingredients and cultural influences to create distinctive regional experiences.
“Tulsi is a journey through India’s vegetarian heritage, crafted with respect for tradition and passion for innovation,” said Chef Manoj Rai, CEO, Fraterniti Foods. “Every dish tells a story of purity, balance, and soulful flavours that celebrate the essence of our cuisine.”
The dessert selection concludes the dining experience with offerings such as Mirchi ka Halwa, Galliyon Se Kulfi, and Shahi Toast. The highlight, The Paan – The Divine Dome, combines mukhwas pearls, gulkand, rose, fennel, and clove, representing Tulsi’s focus on heritage-driven culinary storytelling.
With its launch at Elan Epic, Gurugram, Tulsi positions itself as a new entrant in India’s evolving vegetarian dining sector, emphasizing authenticity, regional diversity, and contemporary presentation within the hospitality landscape.
