Restaurant India News: Trèsind Mumbai Reopens with a New Menu Blending Tradition and Innovation

Trèsind Mumbai, the acclaimed modernist Indian restaurant, has officially reopened this October, marking a significant chapter in its evolution. Known for pushing the boundaries of Indian cuisine and shaping the fine dining segment, Trèsind’s relaunch represents its continued commitment to storytelling through food while staying anchored to its original philosophy — taking diners on a culinary journey through India with a contemporary approach.

The new menu reflects a balance between innovation and nostalgia, inspired by India’s regional traditions and presented with global sensibilities. Each course has been developed to showcase the diversity of Indian flavours while applying refined, modernist techniques.

The highlights include Gushtaba & Parmesan Yakhni, which draws inspiration from Kashmir’s culinary heritage by pairing tender Gushtaba with a Parmesan-infused broth, with a vegetarian option featuring Morel mushrooms. The Rajma Nihari with Arbi ki Galouti blends two popular comfort dishes into a single creation, while the Coastal Lobster celebrates India’s coastal produce through chargrilled lobster served with tomato and shellfish curry. For dessert, Pazham Pori with Hazelnut & Dark Chocolate Ice Cream offers a contemporary take on Kerala’s traditional banana fritters.

The redesigned interiors of Trèsind Mumbai reflect the same modernist spirit as its cuisine. The refreshed space combines an open bar, intimate seating, and private dining areas, all aimed at creating an experience that is refined, guest-centric, and purposeful.

“At Trèsind Mumbai, we continue to evolve our craft through technique, storytelling, and respect for tradition. Our vision is to take Indian cuisine to the global stage through a modern Indian concept that adapts to each city’s palate, culture, and produce. The Mumbai relaunch reflects this philosophy — rooted in heritage, yet expressive, inventive, and ever-evolving,” said Chef Sarfaraz Ahmed, Head Chef, Trèsind Mumbai.

Chef Himanshu Saini, Corporate Chef, Passion F&B, commented, “This relaunch represents a new chapter in our journey, one where innovation meets heritage. Every element of this menu is a celebration of Indian flavors expressed through imagination, emotion, and precision. It’s about reintroducing guests to the beauty of Indian cuisine, one experience at a time.”

Founded in Dubai in 2014, Trèsind is regarded as a pioneer in innovative Indian gastronomy. The brand entered India in 2018 and has since earned recognition across regional dining guides and awards. Trèsind Mumbai remains a key outpost of Trèsind Dubai, continuing to represent its vision of showcasing India’s culinary diversity with artistry and respect.

Bhupender Nath, Founder & Managing Director, Passion F&B, said, “Trèsind was born from a vision to bring Indian cuisine onto the global fine dining stage not just as food, but as art, as narrative, as memory. The reopening of Trèsind Mumbai is our reaffirmation of that promise to continue elevating Indian gastronomy with authenticity, artistry, and ambition.”

Rooted in the principle of Atithi Devo Bhava — “The Guest is God” — Trèsind continues to emphasize hospitality at its core. Every dish and detail at the restaurant has been designed as an expression of respect and warmth, reaffirming its commitment to delivering Indian cuisine that honors both tradition and innovation.
