Restaurant India News: Tilaknagar Industries Records 1.79 Million Cases for Imperial Blue in December 2025

Tilaknagar Industries Limited (TI), a leading Indian-Made Foreign Liquor manufacturer, has reported a strong start for Imperial Blue Whisky following its acquisition, with the brand recording primary sales of 1.79 million cases in December 2025. This marks Imperial Blue’s first month of sales under the Tilaknagar Industries portfolio, based on primary volume data available with the company.

Nishant Jain, President – Sales, Tilaknagar Industries, said, “The first month of Imperial Blue sales post-acquisition reflects the strength of our execution capabilities and distribution network. This milestone validates our strategic decision to acquire the brand and marks an important step in accelerating Tilaknagar Industries’ growth journey as a pan-India IMFL player.”

Alongside the integration of Imperial Blue, Tilaknagar Industries’ existing portfolio also reported steady performance. Excluding Imperial Blue, the company’s core business recorded primary sales of 1.30 million cases during December 2025. With the addition of Imperial Blue, TI has expanded its operational footprint and now operates as a pan-India IMFL player, strengthening its presence across multiple state markets.

The company reported a notable improvement in South India during the same period. The South zone achieved secondary sales of 2.11 million cases, supporting TI’s growing scale in the region. During the month, the company emerged as the second-largest national player in the South IMFL market with a 9.7 per cent market share and secured the leading position in the Prestige and Above segment with a 32 per cent market share.

Market-level performance across southern states showed further consolidation. In Telangana, Tilaknagar Industries became the largest IMFL player, recording sales of 1 million cases, along with a 21.7 per cent market share in the overall IMFL category and 32 per cent in the Prestige and Above segment. In Andhra Pradesh, the company ranked as the second-largest player with sales of 6.37 lakh cases, a 17.2 per cent share of the IMFL market, and leadership in the Prestige and Above segment with a 38.7 per cent market share. In Karnataka, TI strengthened its position by becoming the largest player in the Prestige and Above segment, achieving a 39 per cent market share.

“As the integration of Imperial Blue progresses, TI expects to unlock operational and distribution synergies, improve supply-chain efficiencies and drive margin expansion over the coming quarters, strengthening its competitive position and supporting sustainable growth across markets,” said Ameya Deshpande, President Strategy and Corporate Development, Tilaknagar Industries.

The December performance highlights how scale-driven acquisitions and distribution-led execution are reshaping competitive dynamics within India’s IMFL sector, particularly in high-volume southern markets where premiumisation continues to influence consumer demand.
