The Waffle Co., a fast-growing player in India’s dessert-focused quick service restaurant segment, is preparing for a major expansion phase with plans to open more than 200 outlets across the country by the first half of this year. The move reflects rising demand for organised dessert formats and increasing investor and franchise interest in scalable QSR models.

The expansion strategy targets a balanced mix of metropolitan centres and emerging markets. New outlets are planned in cities such as Muzaffarpur in Bihar, Chittorgarh, Vaishali in Ghaziabad, Assandh in Haryana, Hyderabad, Kishangarh, Wardha in Maharashtra, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee, Gangtok in Sikkim, and Sonipat. In Mumbai, the brand is preparing to add multiple locations across Dadar, Ghatkopar, Goregaon, Kandivali, and Vikhroli East, strengthening its presence in one of India’s most competitive retail markets.

The Waffle Co.’s growth approach centres on high-street outlets, shopping malls, and neighbourhood catchments. This format aligns with evolving consumer behaviour, where impulse-led dessert consumption and quick-service formats continue to gain traction, particularly among younger demographics and families.
