Restaurant India News: The Fern Hotels and Resorts Appoints New GMs and Operations Head Across Five Cities

The Fern Hotels and Resorts has announced multiple leadership appointments across its portfolio, covering properties in Shivamogga, Gangtok, Kanpur, Mumbai, and Rajkot. The changes reflect the group’s focus on strengthening on-property management, improving operating performance, and standardising service delivery as it continues to scale in tier 1 and tier 2 markets. The appointments are expected to support operational consistency, cost control, and guest experience management across these locations.

B Gopalakrishnan has been appointed General Manager at Harsha The Fern Shivamogga. With over 30 years of experience across hotel operations and development, his mandate includes overseeing day-to-day operations, budgets, cost management, and service delivery across departments, along with driving development initiatives at the property. His background includes leadership roles at Windflower Spa and Resort, Coorg, and SR Jungle Resort, Coimbatore. His role will focus on operational efficiency, team performance, and structured service delivery to improve guest satisfaction outcomes at the property.

Anand Ajit Kumar has taken charge as General Manager at The Fern Denzong Hotel and Spa Gangtok. With nearly two decades of experience in hospitality operations, his responsibilities include overall property management, financial planning, expense control, goal setting, and implementation of operating policies. His prior roles include stints with Bloom Hotel and ITC Fortune. He has previously received the Executive of the Year award at Sun n Sand Hotel and the Manager of the Year award at ITC Fortune, reflecting performance across operational leadership roles.

Pradeep Kumar has been appointed General Manager at Rajawat The Fern Kanpur. He brings over 15 years of experience across Wyndham properties, IHG, and Accor, with a professional focus on food and beverage operations and overall hotel management. Prior to this role, he led the pre-opening of Ramada Encore by Wyndham, Bareilly. His current responsibilities include driving operational performance, building teams, improving service standards, and supporting revenue targets for the property.

Kunal Kumar has been named General Manager at Galaxy Beacon Hotel Mumbai, Santacruz. With over thirteen years of experience across hotel operations and revenue management, he will be responsible for overall operations, guest experience delivery, revenue performance, budget management, and gross operating profit outcomes. His previous leadership roles include assignments at Mango Leaf Lake Resort and Fort Jadhavgadh, including pre-opening projects. He has been recognised as Best General Manager by CMO Asia and the World Federation of Hospitality Professionals in 2024 and 2025.

Ashish Kumar has been appointed Operations Manager at Iris Beacon Hotel Rajkot. With thirteen years of experience in hotel operations, his role includes overseeing operations and sales functions, budget management, and gross operating profit performance. His previous experience includes roles at Hotel The Meriton, New Delhi, and Holiday Inn Express, Pune. His current focus will be on cross-department coordination, operational efficiency, and alignment of daily operations with commercial objectives.

These leadership changes indicate The Fern Hotels and Resorts’ strategy to strengthen on-ground management across its regional portfolio, with a focus on improving operational controls, consistency in service delivery, and financial performance at the property level.
