Savorworks Coffee & Chocolate has appointed Chef Hemant Bisht as Head Chef as the specialty coffee and chocolate brand strengthens its culinary leadership and prepares for its next phase of growth. The move comes as Savorworks expands its positioning beyond coffee and bean-to-bar chocolates into a broader café, restaurant, and bar format.
Chef Hemant will oversee culinary operations across the brand’s GK2 and Gurgaon outlets while also contributing to the company's long-term expansion strategy across India. His role will focus on menu development, food quality, operational efficiency, team management, and building scalable culinary systems for future locations. The appointment reflects Savorworks’ efforts to strengthen its food offerings alongside its established coffee, chocolate, bakery, and beverage businesses.
Chef Hemant brings over 13 years of experience across luxury hospitality, premium dining, and fine-dining establishments. Throughout his career, he has led kitchen operations, developed menus, streamlined processes, and mentored culinary teams. His professional journey includes hospitality education at ITM Dehradun, training at Jaypee Residency Manor in Mussoorie, and experience at Ananda in the Himalayas.
He has also worked with hospitality brands including InterContinental Hotels Group's InterContinental Chennai, Indigo Hospitality, Passcode Hospitality's SAZ, and Mesa Kitchen & Bar, where he held leadership responsibilities across culinary operations.
Baninder Singh, SCA Certified Professional Coffee Roaster and Founder of Savorworks Coffee & Chocolate, said, "It's been a long time coming to gather all these great resources into our portfolio. We set out to elevate Savorworks's food scene and become a destination where coffee, chocolate, desserts, and cuisine are all celebrated equally. Chef Hemant is the right leader to help us achieve that he brings deep knowledge of modern dining and a real passion for culinary concept development. We're thrilled to have him on board and look forward to taking bold next steps together."
Chef Hemant Bisht said, "I am happy to join Savorworks Coffee & Chocolate. I like what they stand for. They care about quality, innovation and making things well. I am excited to work with a team that wants to make people happy. My goal is to make the kitchen a place where people work together, are consistent and always learning. I think great hospitality comes from working, paying attention to details and trying to be the best. Savorworks Coffee & Chocolate has an identity and loyal customers and I want to help them keep doing well."
He added, "I want to help young chefs get better, make the kitchen run smoothly and work with the team to make food that shows what Savorworks Coffee & Chocolate is about. Quality, creativity and craftsmanship."
The appointment comes at a time when specialty café operators are increasingly investing in food programs to drive customer engagement and diversify revenue streams.
