Restaurant India News: Salad Days Expands to Hyderabad, Takes Cloud Kitchen Count to 50 Across India

Salad Days has expanded its operations into Hyderabad with the launch of a new cloud kitchen, marking the healthy food brand's entry into the city as part of its wider expansion strategy. The move reflects the company's efforts to strengthen its position in India's growing market for health-focused food offerings.

Established in 2014, Salad Days has developed its business around fresh and balanced meal options. With the addition of Hyderabad, the company now operates 50 cloud kitchens nationwide, including 26 in Delhi-NCR, 12 in Bengaluru, 11 in Mumbai, and 1 in Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad facility is located in Serilingampalle and will initially cater to customers in Nallagandla and Lingampally. Consumers in these neighbourhoods can access the brand's portfolio of salads, nourish bowls, pita pockets, smoothies, build-your-own salads, and other meal offerings. The outlet will also serve Salad Days' recently introduced healthy snacking range, which includes high-protein snack options aimed at everyday consumption.

Varun Madan, Founder and CEO, Salad Days, said, "Hyderabad has always had its own quiet wisdom about food. Here, a meal has never been a transaction. It is a way of remembering, of holding the old and the new in the same hand, the familiar and the carried-in on the same plate. The city wears its appetites the way it wears its monuments, with a quiet, lived-in grace. We're grateful for the chance to be a small, new part of that conversation."

The expansion highlights the increasing role of cloud kitchens in driving growth for health-focused brands. Rather than relying on traditional dine-in formats, operators are leveraging delivery-led models to enter new markets with lower capital requirements while responding to rising consumer demand for convenient and nutritious meal options.

The company expects Hyderabad to contribute meaningfully to its growth trajectory over the next 12 months. As part of its FY26 plans, Salad Days intends to expand into additional cities while also increasing its presence in existing markets. The Hyderabad launch represents another step towards the brand's long-term objective of scaling its healthy food business across India.
