Ramee Group of Hotels has signed a new resort project at Pawna Lake, marking an expansion of its presence in Maharashtra as it focuses on leisure-led destinations.
The upcoming property is part of the group’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in drive-to locations that are seeing increased demand for nature-based and experience-oriented travel. Located in the Sahyadri foothills, Pawna Lake has emerged as a leisure destination offering outdoor activities such as trekking and seasonal experiences.
Saurabh Gahoi, Senior Vice President – India, Ramee Group of Hotels, said, “Maharashtra continues to be a key focus for our expansion, and Pawna Lake’s serene, nature-rich environment makes it a perfect fit for our experiential resort vision. Through this property, we aim to offer stays that combine comfort with authentic local experiences and thoughtfully curated leisure activities. The resort will offer picturesque landscape views, well-appointed rooms complemented by diverse dining options, including poolside experiences. Guests can enjoy activities like trekking, seasonal waterfalls, bonfires, and open-air relaxation. It will also feature versatile event spaces for intimate gatherings, celebrations, and corporate retreats”.
The addition of the Pawna Lake resort will complement the group’s existing portfolio in Maharashtra, which includes operations across Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Karjat, and Solapur.
The signing aligns with the company’s broader approach of balancing its portfolio between business hotels and experiential leisure properties. The group indicated that 2026 will be a key year for expansion as it accelerates growth across emerging leisure markets in India.
