Restaurant India News: Ramee Group Expands in East India With New Hotel Project in Gaya

Ramee Group of Hotels has announced the launch of a new property in Gaya as part of its expansion strategy focused on emerging hospitality and pilgrimage-driven markets in East India.

The upcoming hotel marks the group’s continued push into destinations witnessing rising domestic and international travel demand, particularly in the spiritual tourism segment. Gaya, one of India’s key pilgrimage hubs, has seen growing hospitality activity supported by infrastructure upgrades and improved connectivity.

Saurabh Gahoi, Senior Vice President – India, Ramee Group of Hotels, said, “East India remains a key focus market in the company’s expansion plans, with Gaya emerging as a strategic hospitality destination due to its religious importance, growing tourism landscape, and improving infrastructure. The property aims to offer a seamless and guest-centric experience for both pilgrimage and business travellers. Recognised for its cultural and spiritual significance, Gaya continues to attract domestic and international visitors year-round. Enhanced connectivity, rising tourism activity, and increasing demand for quality accommodation are further strengthening the city’s position as a promising growth market for the hospitality industry.”

The property is being developed with a mix of business and leisure-focused amenities including well-appointed rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, banquet spaces, and an open-to-sky jacuzzi experience. The hotel will also target the events and wedding segment with nearly 4,000 sq. ft. of banquet facilities designed for conferences, social functions, and corporate gatherings.

The launch aligns with the company’s broader India expansion strategy as hotel operators increasingly explore religious tourism circuits and Tier-2 destinations to drive future growth. Hospitality brands are also focusing on mixed-demand markets that combine pilgrimage traffic with business and social event opportunities.

With the new Gaya project, Ramee Group of Hotels continues to diversify its India portfolio across leisure, business, and destination-led hospitality segments.
