Restaurant India News: PIXI Opens on Church Street With Restaurant, Bar and Taproom Concept

A new restaurant, bar, and taproom concept has entered Bengaluru’s competitive dining and nightlife market with the launch of PIXI on Church Street, adding to the growing demand for experience-led hospitality formats in the city.

Spanning approximately 13,500 sq. ft. with seating capacity for 250 guests, PIXI has been designed as a multi-format venue that operates across day and evening dining occasions. The concept combines restaurant dining, cocktails, specialty coffee, and craft beer offerings within a neighbourhood-focused hospitality format.

Industry observers note that large-format dining spaces integrating multiple consumption occasions — including coffee, casual dining, cocktails, and nightlife — are becoming increasingly common across Bengaluru’s hospitality sector as operators seek to maximise customer engagement and repeat visits.

The food programme has been developed by Chef Kartikeya Ratan, with a menu focused on globally influenced dishes designed for group dining and casual sharing formats. Signature menu items include Beijing Pulled Lamb Bao, Seafood and Chives Thai Curry Dumplings, Truffle Mushroom Flatbread, and Spanakopita. The venue also features a specialty coffee menu with offerings such as Affogato with Salted Caramel Popcorn, Matcha Cold Foam Iced Latte, and Parle G Cold Coffee.

The beverage programme combines cocktails and taproom offerings aimed at both craft beer consumers and cocktail-focused audiences. Signature cocktails include Namma Grown-Up Glow, Indiranagar Plot Twist, Sappe Drama Free Night, and Aye You Only, No?, alongside larger-format cocktail pitchers such as Midnight Bloom and Rosé Botanica.

The interiors have been designed by WDA Design Studio, with the venue featuring earthy colour palettes, circular design elements, and open social spaces aimed at encouraging longer customer stays and group interaction.

Chef Kartikeya said, “PIXI was envisioned as a place where people can come together over good food and thoughtfully crafted drinks in a setting that feels both relaxed and exciting. Whether someone is stopping by for a craft beer, exploring the cocktail menu or settling in for dinner with friends, we wanted to create a space that feels approachable, memorable and rooted in the spirit of the neighbourhood.”

The launch reflects the continued evolution of Church Street as one of Bengaluru’s high-footfall hospitality corridors, where operators are increasingly focusing on hybrid restaurant and nightlife concepts to cater to younger urban consumers and experience-driven dining trends.
